Who we are

Welcome to the Clitheroe Garden Club

Membership of Clitheroe Garden Club is open to all whether you are 9 or 90, whether you are a horticultural expert or a complete novice. You will be warmly welcomed at our monthly meetings. Membership entitles you to free entry to our meetings with varied and interesting talks, and the opportunity to buy plants and garden sundries at very competitive prices at our sales hut.

You will also receive our quarterly newsletter, and all for just £10.00 per year.

With over 100 members, the club welcomes individuals of all ages and skill levels, from novices to horticultural experts. The club meets on the first Wednesday of the month from February to May and September to December at Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket and Bowling Club in Clitheroe. Meetings start at 7:30 PM and include interesting talks, tea/coffee, biscuits, and opportunities to purchase plants from visiting speakers.

Membership is open to anyone living in or near the Ribble Valley for just £10.00 per year. Members receive a quarterly newsletter and free entry to meetings. The club also organizes summer visits, social activities, and an annual show in August. Additionally, there's a winter social event or meal. The club is affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and offers a friendly, supportive environment for gardeners to share their passion and knowledge.

Location

The Hut is positioned next to West View garden allotments and our members include many allotment holders as well as keen gardeners.

Supplies

We stock a comprehensive range of composts, fertilizers and garden requisites, all on offer at very attractive prices.

Meetings

The hut is also a meeting place for members to exchange notes and catch up with each other and to swap tools and plants.

Additional

In addition and according to season are seed potatoes, onion sets, beans and peas, bedding plants, tomatoes etc. all on sale at unbeatable rates

Membership

Membership Details

Membership is open to anyone, young or old, living in or near the Ribble Valley at a fee of £10.00 per person or household. Novices are encouraged to join and rub shoulders with the more knowledgeable members in this very friendly and thriving organisation.

The Membership year runs from March - February. New members and subscription renewals can be made at the Club Hut on Sunday mornings or at the Speakers meetings. Payment options are available, cash, cheque or card machine.

To join or rejoin Clitheroe Garden Club, use the Membership Form and post it to the address on the form along with a cheque for £10.00 made payable to Clitheroe Garden Club, remembering please to enclose a stamped addressed envelope (at least 6″x 4″) so that we can send your membership card.

Members who wish to change any details we have for them should also use the form.
