New meeting venue for 2022

For a few reasons the club will be having its future speaker meetings at the Clitheroe Rugby club at Littlemoor.

Many members wished to have meetings in a larger venue to enable future social distancing as well as make the presentation of meetings a little easier and the rugby club allows this.

It is just around the corner from the Cricket club so is very central and has ample parking too.

Unfortunately this venue isn’t available on the existing Wednesday evening but it is available on Tuesdays so we have booked it for then instead. Same time of 7:30 pm. We have had many excellent evenings at The Cricket Club and we thank them for all their previous efforts and many informative and entertaining events held there.

Address- Littlemoor Rd, Clitheroe BB7 1EW

I look forward to seeing you there for our first meeting for our first meeting on 1st March, 7:30

Peat Free Compost – Why?

The Committee have decided to sell only peat-free compost at the Sales Hut because of the impact of the use of peat in both climate and environment. Unfortunately, because we sell only the best quality Sylva there are currently difficulties with supply as more people become aware of the importance of going peat-free. Sylva is endorsed by the RHS and approved by the Soil Association. At present we are selling topsoil and farmyard manure as alternatives.

In case anyone’s forgotten why it might be worth trying alternatives to peat click –
