3 April 2024 Speaker Change

There has been a last minute change to our programme of speakers. We shall now be welcoming back Michael Myers from Craven College, who proved a popular and knowledgeable speaker last year. The title of this next talk will be Herbacious Perennials.

The originally planned talk by Matthew Smith ‘Potato Salad’ will now take place on 4 December 2024.

Return to Ribblesdale Wanderers

We are returning to our earlier venue of the Cricket and Bowling Club from 2024. Our first meeting will be the AGM on 7 February with a Pie and Peas Supper. Tickets for the supper will be available in advance from Noel Hodgson – usual contact information, see the Newsletter – cost £5.50 each. (if you prefer a vegetarian option, please inform Noel when requesting a ticket.)

Marguerite Hughes Talk in April

For those of you who were unable to attend Marguerite’s talk in April and did not pick up her handout on making the most of Spring borders here is a copy Handout Spring Plants and borders

There are useful lists of Spring plants, styles and tips on designing a Spring border.

Plants for Problem Areas

Marguerite Hughes returned in May to give one of her usual entertaining and informative plant talks. For those of you who did not attend I attach the useful handout she distributed at the end of the evening. It was a packed attendance to end this half of our season of talks at the Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket Club.
