Welcome to the Clitheroe Garden Club

The Club was founded in 1976 by a group of enthusiastic gardeners and now has over 100 members.

Membership of Clitheroe Garden Club is open to all whether you are 9 or 90, whether you are a horticultural expert or a complete novice. You will be warmly welcomed at our monthly meetings. Membership entitles you to free entry to our meetings with varied and interesting talks, and the opportunity to buy plants and garden sundries at very competitive prices at our sales hut.

You will also receive our quarterly newsletter, and all for just £10.00 per year. You will find details of how to join on our membership page.

About Clitheroe Garden Club

Meetings from 2024 onwards  will be held on the first Wednesday of the month, February to May and September to December at Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket and Bowling Club, Church Meadow, Brownlow Street, Clitheroe, BB7 1HQ starting at 7.30pm.

Meetings finish with tea/coffee and biscuits and time to catch up with people and maybe purchase plants from the visiting speaker. In the Summer, there are organised visits and social activities and in previous years the Annual Show in August. There is also a Winter social event or meal. You are very welcome to join at one of our meetings or at the Sales Hut which is open most Sunday mornings in the season.

We are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society; for further information on the benefits see the Affiliated Societies Information Pack  or HERE.  There are other horticultural societies affiliated to us: Sabden Horticultural Society & West Bradford Gardening Club. Their members are free to use our sales hut and, if they wish, share in our activities.
